Expensive or even rare wood can be replaced with lower-quality wood that has been enhanced with treatment: For example, marimba keys are made from hardwoods such as padauk, rosewood, ebony, mahogany, maple, or acacia.

We effectively substituted this with oak, ash, and beech wood.

Our process imparts a number of inherently valuable properties to the wood

● Mature sound

The structural transformation of treated wood is similar to that of aged, mature wood. The result is a beautiful (mature) sound.

● Moisture resistance

Treated wood is highly dimensionally stable, significantly improving its resistance to changes in humidity. Instruments do not go out of tune. For example, when used as a soundboard, treated wood does not change its sound over a year, it does not go out of tune.

Treated wood can be used in summer, even under extremely dry conditions

● Continuous Availability

If the initial wood material is available, there is no need to factor in delays or shortages.

● Treated instrument wood is stronger, more solid

Thinner treated wood produces similar stability to thicker untreated wood. Thinner soundboards and smaller stiffening allow for less mass. Less mass in a soundboard means a more sensitive and louder instrument.

● Unique Color Shades

Different color shades can be created from the same wood. The color is always uniform throughout the entire cross-section of the wood. By adjusting the treatment parameters, every shade from light to dark brown can be created.

● Consistent Quality

Depending on the initial wood quality consistency, but constant quality can be achieved.

● Immediately Processable
Wood

Gently aged and optimally dried wood can be processed immediately after cutting, without significant resting.
